Monitoring Administrative Tasks

Some administrative tasks, such as deployments, service migrations, and attempts to start and stop managed servers, take varying amounts of time to complete. The Tasks console page enables you to monitor the completion status of all tasks that are in progress: It displays a table containing tasks in progress and completed tasks that have not yet been purged. If tasks are available, you can click on the task's description to get more information about the task. Doing so displays a form that enables you to select the Status tab and Details tab for the selected task. The Status tab displays more detailed information about the task. The Details tab enables you to view the exceptions and stack traces of the task if it failed to complete. The Tasks console page also includes a Purge Tasks button to enables you to clear completed tasks from the tasks list.
