getPreferredSize

Returns

The preferred dimensions of a text field's peer of the given size.

minimumSize

Parameters

Replaced by getMinimumSize(int).

preferredSize

Changes the character that is displayed to the user for every character he or she types in the text field.

The character to display for all input.

Replaced by setEchoChar(char).
